ITI offers a variety of press designs in order to fit the unique needs of each customer.

As a part of every design process, safety is a key concern. ITI strives to produce equipment that is safe and reliable for those operating it. Unlike other tier presses, ITI presses incorporate a hydraulic system that, in the unlikely event of mechanical failure, causes the active tier to open wider rather than allowing it to close unexpectedly. Safety is further increased by requiring a secondary operator verification before the tiers are able to move into production mode. Low-profile light curtains or pressure pads are offered as an additional option to further enhance the safety of our machines.

ITI specializes in the production of six press designs:

  • Four tier vacuum press: The 4 tier press is the fastest, most user-friendly design. Unlike competitor’s models, the ITI 4 tier press incorporates the two major safety features listed above, with the addition of safety curtains, and the option of a safety-light curtain. More user-friendly than the other designs on the market, our 4 tier press is easy to operate, thanks to an Allen Bradley touch screen interface, and has narrow posts at the tier corners in conjunction with an air-bearing surface, simplifying laminate removal from either the end or the side of the tier.

  • Three tier platen press: The three tier platen press is similar in function to the 4 tier vacuum press, but is designed to operate in a fully automatic mode with a specialized bead applicator/transfer table unit. Interacting with vacuum lifters and saw tables, the automatic platen press and applicator reduce operator interaction to an initial production run setup.

  • Three table nested press
  • Single clamshell press
  • Vacuum bag press
  • Automatic hydraulic platen press
